How AI Helps Me Deliver These WINS
If you’ve been following our weekly WINS emails, you’ll know they’re packed with updates, highlights, and a touch of personality from life at PAAC IT. But here’s something you might not know: these emails wouldn’t happen without AI.
As someone with dyslexia, writing has always been a challenge for me. Big tasks feel overwhelming, and I often end up procrastinating rather than starting. Weekly emails, blog posts, and proposals are all important to keeping our clients informed and engaged, but for me, the writing part was a real barrier.
That’s where Co-pilot has made a huge difference.
From Idea to Finished Piece – in Minutes
Before AI, I’d sit staring at a blank screen, knowing what I wanted to say but struggling to get the words out. Now, I can simply talk to Co-pilot like I would to a colleague. I type out the rough ideas – sometimes as bullet points, sometimes just a brain-dump – and it helps turn them into polished paragraphs.
For example, when I needed a value proposition around replacing old Windows 10 computers, I gave ChatGPT the audience (micro firms with 1–2 staff), the pain points (old machines, downtime, stress), and asked it to focus on outcomes rather than costs. In a few minutes, I had something that not only made sense but was ready to send to clients.
Bringing Stories to Life
It’s not just technical explanations, either. When we wanted to celebrate Joe’s workaversary, I asked Co=pilot to help me capture his personality – his supportive nature, time spent on-site with clients, and how far he’s come. The result was a heartfelt blog post that resonated with our team and our customers.
When introducing Bradley, our junior IT support analyst, Co-pilot helped me frame his journey from running leaflets as a child, to work experience, to training on the phones this summer. It took my notes and turned them into a story people could connect with.
Visuals That Match the Message
Another big part of our communication is imagery. Co-pilot integrates with tools that allow me to generate realistic, high-quality images – from a crab getting a new shell to depict the Windows 11 rollout, to squirrels working inside a tree as a fun metaphor for “behind-the-scenes” teamwork. These visuals make our blogs and emails stand out, and they’re created in minutes rather than hours.
Making My Job (and Yours) Easier
The real benefit is speed and clarity. What used to take me hours – or sometimes never get done at all – can now be achieved in 20 minutes. This means:
-
Our clients get timely updates.
-
Our proposals and service descriptions are clearer.
-
Our team gets recognised and celebrated.
-
And I get to spend more time focusing on delivering value, not stuck in a writing block.
AI Isn’t Here to Replace Us
The important thing to stress is that AI doesn’t replace my input. It still needs context, detail, and direction from me. It doesn’t know our clients like I do, and it can’t create our PAAC culture or tone of voice by itself. But it does something powerful: it removes the barrier between ideas and execution.
So when you read this week’s WINS, you’re not just seeing what we’ve achieved – you’re also seeing a little bit of AI in action. For me, it’s been a game-changer. For you, it means better communication, clearer insights, and more consistent updates from your IT partner.
Because at PAAC IT, we’re not just using technology to help you work smarter – we’re living it ourselves.
